Student Services

Airport Pickup

The College can arrange for students arriving at any of the London airports to be met and transferred directly to their accommodation. It is the student's responsibility to ensure all relevant flight details provided. Any delay in arrival will be subject to an hourly waiting charge.

If this service is required students should notify the college by fax or e-mail, at least a week prior to arrival of all relevant arrival details such as date and time of arrival and flight number.
Accomodation Service

Accommodation can be arranged on behalf of the student by the college for a non-refundable arrangement fee. Different types of accommodation can be booked according to your preferences and budget:

Home-stay with an English family Live with native English speakers and learn about English customs and culture. Often includes meals and bills in the price and can be a less expensive option.

Student hostel The best way to make friends with other students. Hostels include bills and can be catered or self-catered and for long or short stays.

Bed & Breakfast hotel(B&B) A good short-term option while looking for more long-term accommodation.

Room in a house shared with other students Self-catered, bills are sometimes included.

The college must be given enough notice (usually 2-3 weeks prior to arrival) if this service is required. Deposits and advance rent may also be necessary.


Leisure Programme

Studying at Victoria College is much more than just an academic experience. Being situated in the capital of the United Kingdom you have a fantastic opportunity to experience all that this exciting and cosmopolitan city has to offer. Victorai College leisure and cultural programme is designed to help you make the most out of your time in London whilst making new friends.

Activities organised by the college include pub visits, entertainment evenings and parties which encourage students to mix and socialise in English. Various other events provide unique opportunities for students to learn about British culture including trips to museums, cultural events and historical sites. Alternatively students may wish to experience the best of London's lively West End entertainment scene with organised visits to cinemas and London musicals.

There is of course much more to the UK than just London. Day trips offer students a chance to visit other cities and places of interest such as Windsor Castle, the university city of Oxford and South Coast towns.

Some activities will require a supplementary charge but the college will do its best to keep these to a minimum. In addition Victoria English College students can get discounts on various sports and recreation facilities around the city.


Student Welfare Support

If you are an international student then relocating from home to a new country can mean getting used to a whole new way of life. That's why at Victoria  English College we offer welfare support to make the transition a little easier for you. With the right advice and assistance we hope to make your life easier and ensure you have a happy and successful stay in London. Welfare services offered by the college include:

Accommodation service*- the college can help you to find a place to live according to your taste either prior to arrival or after arriving in London.

Airport pick up* - the college will arrange for you to be met at a London airport and transported directly to your accommodation.

Employment service - as a student you may wish to work part-time to pay for your living expenses. The college offers advice and contacts to make the search for a part time job a little easier.

Bank accounts - advice and guidance on opening a bank account.

Health - advise on how to register with a local doctor and receive free NHS (National Health Service) treatment.

Student handbook - Victoria College produces a handbook with useful advice on all of the above welfare matters, plus other useful information such as how to get involved with a sports team or find a place to worship.

London Underground Discount - Transport for London offers a 30% discount on travel costs within the London area to all qualifying students.
